âWe didnât stay at the hotel but wanted to grab dinner at the restaurant. We were the only guests and it didnât make a good impression as other restaurants were packed. Proving us right, we received our food finally after 1,5h but only after we kept asking to cancel our food order due to the long delay, our request was actually being ignored. So at 9.50pm we had our food! I was too annoyed and tired to take a picture of it, but it wasnât looking great. Taste was not great either.â

âI travelled for work and needed a place to stay in this area. I dont have a good reference for hotels in Kigali as I only have stayed at 1 other expensive hotel.
rooms are clean and in a quiet area but there was a very bad smell in my bathroom from waste water.
While there was an aircon and it switched on it didnt cool the room much.
Nice outdoor area for breakfast and to sit.
The breakfast was ok, standard fruit, egg and bread.
The room was not serviced daily. Not that this is an issue for me but just noting this for people that might expect it.
Bad communication from the hotel as I not able to get transfer from the airport.
The Wifi is free and works ok for most things. it is not very good.
Over all it was ok, I believe Kigali as a city is fairly expense so maybe this is value for money but I didnt feel so and will probably look for another place next time.
I do love the city of Kigaliâ

âI came from the airport for a 3 day quarantine. When I arrived after landing, they placed me in a room that was extremely dilapidated and hardly clean. The shower wasnât working and the glass screen was broken. The friendly staff moved me to another room which was better but hardly worth 50$ in kigali. To make matters worse, the so called amount that RBC negotiated with them is higher than the amount they charge on Booking.com for a similar room and the amount I was charged seems to have been in fact for a more deluxe room upstairs. Donât get me started on the meals. Poorly done and always 2 hours late (even a simple thing a ordered at 15:30 arrived at 18:40). Apparently âincluded in quarantine costsâ meals are basically the worst you can imagine and you do well to order off the menu although barely anything on the menu is available and when I ordered I was severely diaappointed twice. Had I been able to, I would just have ordered a pizza online but at the time I had no local SIM card.
The bread and fruit were stale, the veggies that came with my potatoes were soggy and seemed reheated from a night before. Iâm amazed at the lengths they go to to cut their costs at the expense of their clients and am not merely angry but also embarrassed and disappointed as a Rwandan on behalf of Rwanda as this could be the first impression a foreigner gets of my country.
Once more, staff were great! Reception amazing, friendly and always prompt, waiting staff kind and helpful, I hope theyâre fairly compensated as theyâre the only redeeming quality in this whole experienceâ

âOld drab and not well kept. Smelled of mould too. In need of significant makeover and better management. But it's in such a great location too - about 5 mins walk from KCC and good restaurantsâ
