Brioche Kacyiru

“Had a really nice visit to Brioche in Kacyiru recently. The place has a great location among the embassy area, making it convenient and easy to find. The Food & Drinks: I tried the coffee and pain au chocolat - both were really good! The bakery items smell absolutely delicious when you walk in, and everything looks fresh and tempting. They have a wide range of options on the menu, so there’s something for everyone whether you’re after breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee break. The Atmosphere: The vibes are cozy and relaxed, perfect for catching up with friends or getting some work done. They have both indoor and outdoor seating areas, and the space is clean and comfortable. The music creates a nice ambiance - lively enough to be pleasant but not so loud that it interferes with conversation. WiFi is fast if you need to work, and there are plenty of outlets available. Service: The service was decent overall. The staff were friendly and the place runs smoothly. Things to Note: Just a heads up - they don’t accept cash, so make sure you have a card or mobile payment ready. It’s a popular spot with both locals and expats, so it can get busy during peak times. Prices are on the moderate to higher side, but the quality and atmosphere make it reasonable. Overall: Brioche Kacyiru is a solid choice for a coffee, pastry, or meal in Kigali. It’s clean, the food is good, and it’s a nice place to spend some time. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.”

“It's a popular place both with locals and expats in Kigali, and they gave a wide range of options in their menu. I had a simple coffee and pain choco, and they were good. There is no AC in the sitting area, and you may feel slightly hot. Also, they don't accept cash, which can be an issue, and I wish they had informed at first.”

“The atmosphere is stellar. They recently changed their menu and the new menu’s prices are 80% higher. They also include a 18% VAT tax to every order. I ended up paying almost $13, 14,800RWF for juice and half quiche, exorbitant prices in Rwanda for the meal. The juice was made from a powder and tastes like it. The quiche also tastes like it came from a box. If you aren’t coming for a coffee or to work, I would recommend finding a meal elsewhere. The worst meal I’ve had in Rwanda”

“I was there a few times on Sunday. Never come here on Sunday; they don't have the baked goods you'd come here for. It's like going to the pool wanting to swim, but there's no water.”

“Great location amongst embassies and commissions and offices. Strangely though, a number of staff don’t speak/understand English so it was a bit difficult for me as a foreigner to be served. Ended up with a mix up with the order. The waiters didn’t seem bothered to get someone who could communicate with me.”
