“I recently spent three days on a business trip in Kigali and stayed at Ubumwe Grande Hotel, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish! The hospitality stood out the most — every staff member I interacted with was incredibly kind, professional, and attentive. They made me feel genuinely welcome throughout my stay. My shared room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the essentials provided. The space was peaceful and conducive for both rest and work. I appreciated how tidy everything was and how quickly housekeeping responded to requests. The food was another highlight! The restaurant offered a wide variety of delicious meals — from the buffet breakfast to the dinners, everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The rooftop restaurant also offers an amazing view of Kigali, making each meal even more enjoyable. The hotel’s facilities were top-notch, with a great ambiance for business travelers. The Wi-Fi was reliable, the environment calm, and the location perfect — central, safe, and with easy access to key places in the city. Overall, my stay at Ubumwe Grande Hotel was comfortable, refreshing, and productive. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kigali, whether for business or leisure. I look forward to staying here again on my next trip!”

“I do not recommend this restaurant. We found a cockroach next to our food, and when we reported it, the staff simply killed it and did not take any further action. This was extremely disappointing and concerning. There are many good and more affordable restaurants in Kigali with far better service, so based on my experience, I would not recommend this place to tourists.”

“Ubumwe Grande Hotel is one of the best hotels in Kigali Rwanda. Starting from the reception to the rooms. A very conducive environment for tourists . The hotel has the best view of Kigali and it's also favourable for photogenic people. Their workers are so hospitable and welcoming. You need to visit this place before you die. It's a home away from home.”

“Ubumwe Grande Hotel is a great place in the city center for food, sleep, and conferences. I’ve been here several times for food, and recently I also attended a conference. For the conference side, we used one of the Kivu rooms on the second floor. The room was very comfortable, with good air-conditioning, a nice atmosphere, and reliable internet (both wired and wireless). The staff were also very supportive, which is not something you find everywhere in Kigali. For the restaurants, I’ve tried the one on the first floor (pictured below). When I was there, it was a buffet with a good variety of food, and everything I had was delicious. The view from the restaurant is also nice since you can see the city center below. The rooftop restaurant has an even better view. Because it’s higher up and open, you can see almost the whole city beneath you. I haven’t properly tried the food there yet, but from what I’ve heard, it’s also very good. I’ll definitely go back to try it myself.”

“Very modern architectural design and cozy rooms. My favorite thing about Ubumwe is the Kigali city view from the Rooftop, both during the night and day. It's a splendid view.”
