âI was a regular at the old location near Rugando and always loved it there, but yesterday was my first time visiting the new spot in Kimihurura, and wow, what a beautiful, welcoming space! I arrived around 5:00 PM just as the sun began to set, casting a glow over the Mediterranean-style brick terrace and the padel courts. I loved it from the second I walked in. The cappuccino was delicious, the service was amazing, and the prices are still very fair for the area. Great job to the team!!â

âThis was the best experience I have ever had at a hostel. The staff at Tugende are phenomenal! They go above and beyond to help the guests. Any question I had they were more than happy to help and as I was traveling solo they helped me a lot to navigate the local buses and even organised my bus to Uganda for me. They are the best!
The breakfast which is included in the stay is so tasty. The facilities are good and thereâs an option to have your clothes cleaned for a small fee which was great.
This hostel is in a good neighborhood and the cafe here is really nice. Itâs usually busy during the day so it provides opportunity to meet people if you wish.
I highly recommend Tugende!â

âA great place to visit even if you do not Cycle but why not hire a bike. You will not be disappointed seeing Kigali on two wheels. E-Bikes available.
A lovely Cafe restaurant with a great healthy menu. Delicious and well presented.
There is a bicycle repair shop and a small shop selling everything cycle related.
This is really a lovely place to just chill, use the internet and enjoy a delicious mock or cocktail. Full drinks and food menu available.â

âProbably the most dirty place in Kigali to sleepw Highly recommended to avoid this place to stay. The bar and restaurant are ok for bike enthousiasts.
Rooms are very small, dirty, cockroaches under beds, no warm water.. unbelievable that this seems all ok for the Belgian owner.â

âIâve spent the past 2 weeks in Rwanda and have eaten multiple meals at Tugende. Their food is amazing!! Fresh, creative, delicious. Coffee is great along with other drinks. Service is top notch, as well. The atmosphere is peaceful, and thereâs a true community feel. Tugende is definitely an oasis in Kigali!â
