“I have been a BPR customer for 2 years and this week I switched to Bank of Kigali because I was tired of their bad service. The main reason I am leaving is because of the BPR employees at the MTN Center. I asked for an international transfer and they failed to process it for two weeks. They kept giving me excuses until I asked them to ignore processing it. So this week, I transferred all my money to Bank of Kigali and although I have not been with this new bank for a long time, my experience with them has been much better. I use Bank of Kigali's private banking so it might be the reason I am receiving better service. Private Banking costs 20k per month but in my position, it is worth paying the fee. Back to BPR. If you go to any of BPR branches you can expect to spend a MINIMUM of an hour. The last time I was at their branch in Kisimenti, I spent two hours there. The last time I was at their headquarters, I spent two hours and a half. When I was at their Kimironko branch, I spent an hour and a half. This is not a new problem. When standing in line, people complain about the amount of time it takes to receive service. If any of the bank managers are reading this review, please do something about the wait time and improve your system so it doesn't break down all the time. A lot of branches have 5+ teller stations but only 2 tellers would be working. This is bad customer service and the bank needs to be better.”
