Kacyiru is the city's after-work cluster. The diplomatic and NGO professionals finish at five; the embassy staff cross to Kacyiru Sud for an early drink; the working crowd from Kacyiru proper joins from six. By eight, the lounges are full of conversation rather than dancing, and by midnight most of the neighbourhood is heading home. It's a grown-up nightlife, sometimes too grown-up for the visiting nightlife purist — but the rooms are well-built and the drinks are seriously made.

How Kacyiru evenings actually run
- 5:30-7pm — the after-work hour. Embassies finish, NGO professionals cross over, the bars fill quickly. Repub, Sundowner, Boho all run at full strength here.
- 7-9pm — the dinner-with-drinks crowd. Most patrons shift to the bar-restaurants for kitchen plus cocktails. Reservations help.
- 9-12am — the cocktail-bar shift. Repub and Essence carry the evening; La Noche fills for the late crowd; Inferno runs its smaller late evening.
- 12-1am — closing. Most rooms shut between 12:30 and 1am. La Noche is the latest reliable open in Kacyiru Sud.
What Kacyiru doesn't have
- Dance clubs. Envy is the closest approximation; for actual dance floors you cross to Remera or Nyarutarama edges.
- Rooftop bars. Kiyovu has those (Sky Lounge, Iriba Bar & Terrace); Kacyiru's lounges are at ground or first floor.
- Live music venues. Occasional live nights at Repub or Sundowner; nothing dedicated.

Practical things
- Reservations. Repub, Sundowner, Essence all need bookings on Friday and Saturday. The dedicated bars (La Noche, Inferno, Envy) accept walk-ins reliably.
- Dress. Smart casual is the floor. No shorts after 6pm at the bar-restaurants.
- Crowd. Skews professional and 28-45. Younger nightlife crowd is in Remera.
- Safety. Kacyiru at night is among the safest neighbourhoods in Kigali. Walking between bar and taxi is a non-issue.
- Getting home. Yego and Uber serve well past closing. Moto-taxis available but late nights generally use car-app.
