“Absolutely Horrifying Experience – A Hospital That Should Be Shut Down I don’t even know where to begin. DMC Hospital is a nightmare and I wouldn’t wish this place on my worst enemy. My pregnant wife arrived in excruciating pain and bleeding, terrified that something was wrong with our baby. What did DMC do? Absolutely nothing. She was left to sit in that cold, sterile room for over an hour, doing nothing but receiving an IV and some weak painkillers while we waited for someone to take her seriously. They didn’t bother to run any tests. No ultrasound. No blood work. Nothing. Then, with no actual examination, the staff presumed it was a miscarriage based on nothing but a cursory glance. No tests. No professionalism. The staff didn't even check her properly, and we were left in limbo, completely in the dark about what was happening to her. It felt like they were just guessing. The worst part? The doctor never came. Not once. We had no one to talk to, no one to explain what was happening, and no one to offer any kind of comfort or guidance. I called three different phone numbers trying to get in touch with someone, anyone, who could help. But guess what? None of them were answered. No one cares. No one’s there. I was left to feel completely helpless and angry, unable to even get a basic response from the staff. What kind of hospital lets someone in serious distress suffer like this? This place is not just understaffed—it’s completely incompetent. They have no idea what they’re doing. It felt like we were treated like an afterthought, like our lives didn’t matter. There is a total lack of doctors, basic care, and any semblance of compassion here. This hospital is dangerous. If you love your family, do not bring them here. They do not deserve to be trusted with anyone’s care. The way they treated my wife—and me—was unforgivable. A hospital that can’t even do the bare minimum should not be allowed to operate. I am disgusted, heartbroken, and absolutely furious. To top all of this off they wanted to charge for test that they didn't even do. This place is crooked and they don't care at all. None whatsoever!!! Go to a hospital that cares and seeks to heal you, not that treats you like garbage and only cares about taking your money. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS NIGHTMARE OF A PLACE!!!”

“I swear upon the living God you don’t deserve even a single star DMC hospital is a night mare, if you love your life don’t let it cross your mind to step there (kindly read all I wrote, it may help you take a good decision) these are kind of hospitals that kills the image of health care In our country, I went there on Saturday 0n 22nd of November 2025. I ran to them telling them it’s emergency am pregnant but yet bleeding I could be at risk of miscarriage, guess what they did they had to make me wait I sat for 30 minutes then after I was taken to the room to wait for an hour and other more 30 minutes. Laying on their bed giving me pain killers and IV. I heard the nurses talking on the phone that the patient inside has no body to nurse her, they took blood samples and put me on drip as they are waiting for a doctor to be available. 2 hours no serious help. After they kept on asking for documents and money I told them to take whatever money they want from me but atleast they kindly take care of me I asked them a question that “ those papers are you asking for, are they the ones to be treated or my life to be saved?”I told them to ask me about those after cause I had waited for so long they didn’t ask. For papers earlier they asked for those after 2 hours of waiting to meet a doctor. Reaching the doctors office,also after waiting for 15 minutes was shocked he didn’t even know I was pregnant. He asked me my problem I told him am bleeding he told me to lay in bed, he did ultrasound he then confirmed it was miscarriage . No counseling, without telling me the reason that led to it , my husband tried talking to him on the phone to simply ask questions he refused .he said we found him busy having an emergency of surgery he said he doesn’t have time for those questions. Then paying the bill I went and I paid 39k consultation and ultrasound I told the cashier that due to their bad services am not interested in other tests they were suggesting , they did no other test cause if they had carried other test I could have found results at the doctors office to start from the observation. He didn’t know the case at all. They made me wait for another hour for the cannula to be removed. They told me that they took tests from my blood samples they have to put them in the system to be paid. After I paid them 73k for 0 tests. After paying I told them to remove a cannula and then they told me to first wait and they do tests of what I just paid for. Which means they wanted to make sure I leave that money before leaving their hospital. They counted loss not the value of someone’s life cause to them life doesn’t matter at all they shouldn’t lie to you. For people who were there on that date saw how I broke down due to pain, disrespectful service, carelessness wastage of time and money, anger, miscarriage and on the behalf of others who would be treated same way after me or those who were treated same way and left with no word. N.B: all money spent no refund. I don’t understand this level of being thirsty for money STAY AWAY FROM DMC HOSPITAL IN KICUKIRO PLEASE. Especially as a pregnant woman expecting a baby with excitement they don’t care.”

“Do not go to this hospital if you are pregnant! I went there last night at 20 weeks pregnant because I was bleeding—a serious emergency at this stage. Instead of giving me an ultrasound to check on my baby, the male doctor insisted that I get naked and let him perform an internal exam. I told him I was uncomfortable and asked for a female doctor, but he refused and said he wouldn’t help unless I agreed to the internal exam. I knew something was wrong, so I left and went to King Faisal Hospital. They immediately gave me an ultrasound and discovered that I have a low-lying placenta. I was told that any internal exam could have caused me to hemorrhage and possibly lose my baby and my life. Please, if you’re a woman, especially if you’re pregnant, do not go to this place. The male doctor was completely unprofessional and only interested in violating women instead of providing care. I am still shaken by the experience but grateful I trusted my instincts and went elsewhere.”

“Worst medical center in Kigali. Staff, especially payment department is unprofessional, careless not sure how to discribe. Imagine a sick person waiting for 45 minutes to pay in order to be seen by a doctor !!! You might think DMC’s payment server is stored in China or Bangore lol. Waiting time to see a doctor is unthinkably long and looks like nobody cares. Ownership/upper level management have to do something to fix this medical service mess before it is too late.”
