“An absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I stepped onto the paths, I was captivated by how thoughtfully designed and beautifully maintained they are. The winding trails invite you to explore at a leisurely pace, offering a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty. A helpful tip for anyone planning a visit, consider taking your walk early in the morning or late in the evening. During the middle of the day, the sun can be quite intense, which might make the walk less comfortable.”

“𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲; 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹: 𝟯.𝟱 I visited Nyandungu Eco-Park in the afternoon, looking for an escape into nature. It mostly delivered on that promise, though the experience was a bit mixed depending on what you are looking for. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀: Note that pricing varies based on residency. As an African citizen, I paid 5,000 RWF, but expect higher fees for international visitors. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: I spent over an hour walking through the trails. The nature is well-maintained, but after a while, the scenery becomes quite repetitive. If you enjoy your own company and solitude, you will appreciate the quiet. However, if you prefer varied landscapes or high-energy attractions, this might feel a bit monotonous. 𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗜 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿: * 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀: It is a perfect location for a long walk or a bike ride (the paths are great for it). * 𝗗𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘀: It’s the ideal spot for some "unhurried" time with your thoughts or a focused, distraction-free conversation with a partner or friend (the "what are we doing?" talk). 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁: I wouldn't return solo just for the walk, but I would definitely come back with a friend to explore it on bicycles. A solid 3.5 experience that serves a specific functional purpose.”

“Had an exceptional nature walk at Nyandungu Eco Park with my soulmate ,,, a truly serene and soulful experience. We connected deeply with nature, wrote letters to each other under the trees while birds sang above us, and spotted beautiful butterflies ,,our favorite symbols of nature’s magic. A perfect escape for peaceful reflection and love”

“I honestly cannot recommend visiting this park; it is simply not worth seeing. The official website doesn't even load, and this lack of transparent, accessible pricing makes it incredibly easy for tourists to be taken advantage of. While standard international entry is reportedly 5,000 RWF, I was charged 20,000 RWF at the gate—over 10 times the official local rate—and you get very little in return. There is absolutely no information provided at the entrance or anywhere else inside to guide you or explain what you are looking at. The park is essentially just wetlands and ponds swarming with mosquitoes, which frankly feels like a malaria risk. To top it off, the staff has a very jaded attitude and is not service-oriented at all. Definitely not recommended.”

“Very nice and relaxing place. Make sure you don't miss something called the bamboo walk, I almost did. The bamboo grew so tall it made almost a tunnel over the walkway! Anyway, it's a little pricey at 20000 RWF, but you can use a credit card. Just as a warning, they will try to take your water bottles (there are trashcans everywhere, but apparently they're still worried someone might litter?), I told them I am keeping my water bottles or I'm not coming in and paying. I kept my water bottles in my backpack.”
