Ikaze B&B

“Though the woman who brought us to our room was very kind, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve had. We were supposed to stay three nights but checked out after the first night due to the intolerable noise and filth in our room. During the night a very loud generator turned on and woke us even with earplugs in. It was unbearable and we weren’t able to sleep until it eventually turned off. The airplane noise is also worse than I’ve ever heard, even though I live by the airport at home. Since we couldn’t sleep with the window open, we tried to use the air conditioner, which didn’t work. The staff members were talking right outside our room the whole time we were there, we heard every conversation they had clearly and we could even hear them brushing their teeth and spitting outside our window. Our items got dirty because all the shelves and hangers were covered with dust, and there was mold throughout the room; in the shower, walls, and in the water pitcher and tea kettle they provided us. We didn’t want to touch anything.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Ikaze B&B. The host and staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our time there. The place was lovely and serene, and we particularly enjoyed the daily breakfast. A special thanks to the host, Leonia, for arranging a birthday cake for our daughter the day after we arrived. She truly is a fantastic person.”

“Today is our 2nd day here and it has been a very good stay. The manager and staff are really warm and helpful. Rooms are very well kept and has every basic need. Location is in a very green area and the sight from the balcony is beautiful. There is also a lake down the street.”

“Although I had a valid booking via booking.com the hotel manager told me that all rooms are booked and I cannot stay there. I had booked some months before and being told this one day before when I asked a different question is not fair.”

“This is probably the best place I've stayed in. Amazing service, amazing room, everything about this place is excellent. It feels like a home away from home and the hostess is the most welcoming I've seen. She feels like a family member who does everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable and also helps with departure logistics. Also it is situated just 7-10 minutes away from the airport. I will most likely always stay here whenever I visit Kigali”
