“I randomly spotted this Afghan restaurant and my interest was piqued. I'm glad I went here, because the food was lovely. I tried the dumplings and while I may never have tried Afghan dumplings, I have tried dumplings from many different cuisines, and these were delicious. The owner is a very friendly person who joined me for conversation and explanation about his restaurant. I also tried dough which is a Afghan drink that is very refreshing. I would absolutely recommend trying this restaurant for yourself *update, I unexpectedly ended up with an extra day in Kigali and I came back to try another dish on the menu. I am happy to report the Qabuli Pelaw is also delicious. No bold flavours, but very subtle ones that work beautifully together, the mutton just fell if the bones and was fantastic.”

“This restaurant is the definition of "hidden gem"! It's appearance doesn't stand out in Biryogo, but the food is delicious. I love Afghan food, having eaten it in a number of places in the past, and this is as good as any and better than most. The food is made fresh, right when you order. It is a family owned restaurant, really good people making delicious food for an honest living. I often will try to eat only local food when I'm visiting a new country, but I made an exception when I saw Kabul and I'm so glad I did.”

“I had an amazing experience at Kabul Kigali Restaurant! The Manto dumplings were absolutely delicious – soft, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. I also tried the Qabuli Pulao (Kabuli Pilaf) and honestly, no words can describe how tasty it was – rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are very friendly. A special mention to Ali for his excellent service – he made the experience even better with his kindness and attention.
