“Having a 4* experience at the Iris Guesthouse. It is clean. The water is hot. The food is tasty and prepared carefully. The staff are polite and helpful. Be careful how you book with them online. They only have an online account with Booking.com. All the other booking websites are fake. The service is also a bit slow and some power sockets in my room don't work.”
“Martine (the owner) is calm and warm. She pits her heart into the guest house and of you are perceptive, you will feel this right after you get there. She has a van that can get you from the airport for a very affordable price. She also has a dollar account making it easy for foreigners to make payments. The guest house has a restaurant where you can get a buffet warm meal. This is a public appreciation. Give her all your money.”
“I had a short stay assignment for several weeks in Kigali. The staff at Iris make you feel right at home. They are attentive to guest requests and act promptly. They kindly accommodated my dietary requirements. The cleaning staff are excellent- room & laundry. Highly recommended affordable accommodation.”
“We stayed here for three nights and absolutely loved our time here. The concierge, cleaning and dining staff are incredibly friendly and they were accommodating for every need I had. When I requested an extra pillow and water bottles, they provided that without hesitation. The breakfast -- served from 6:30am - 10:00am -- is served buffet style and consists of both sweet and savory options (fruit, toast, cereal, milk, tea, and some cooked meats & vegetables). Lastly, while we visited another region of Rwanda (via bus) for two days and two nights, Iris Guesthouse was more than happy to hold on to my suitcase so that I wouldn't have to carry extra luggage around. The only reason I gave four stars for "Rooms" is because the size of the room is quite small, but still very manageable for two people. I would highly recommend this hotel for those visiting Kigali!”
“Wonderful one night stay, comfortable beds and hot shower. Our flight out of Kigali was delayed by 12 hours and Eve at the front desk was extremely helpful! He let us use his phone multiple times to call customer service, extended our check out time, and helped us plan a day in Kigali. Definitely recommend and would stay again!”
