“This is better for snacks and a drink with a view rather than a full meal. Steaks are pretty overcooked, and other mains are pretty average. Cheese is pretty farm-y. Some other reviews mention it’s overpriced which I think is fair. There are kids toys and coloring available which is a nice touch. And friendly service.”
“Must try the steak. The service is excellent, they’re quick, and the view is lovely”
“The Rock…wow. This place is terrific. Really great service (especially from Mugisha our waiter), the gorgeous view…a great drink selection..outstanding starters (try the quail legs) …but the star of the show here is the quality of the meat. Try the hot stone fillet - the pre-marinaded cooks on a hot stone on the table in front of you and therefore you take it when it’s cooked to your liking (mine is rare.. sometimes challenging concept for Rwandan kitchens as most people like their meat hard here I’m finding) …it was the best quality steak I’ve had in ages. And when I queried the lack of sauce béarnaise on the menu…the chef whipped one up in 5 minutes for me! This place is top notch and worth a detour if you’re looking for something special. Helping to put ‘neighbourhood’ dining on the city map in Kigali. Can’t wait to go back again.”
“This place is one of the best restaurants in Kigali, the food is great ( I ordered chicken wings ), the atmosphere is comfy and the customer service is great too. Definitely worth recommending. Food: 5 | Service: 5 | Atmosphere: 5 One more thing I liked about the restaurant is the free popcorn and quail eggs they give you as table service.”
