âI had brunch there today for the 50k per person non alcoholic.
The place is very nice, aesthetic, amazing decoration and atmosphere and the food is good. There is a lot of variety, well presented, well cooked. Even salmon, shimps etc. I think the food was worth the 50k.
However, they told me the coffee machine was broken when I asked for a coffee. How can you do a 50k brunch without coffee! If your coffee machine is broken, you find a solution.
Their solution was to tell me to go buy coffee from the shop on the ground floor. Eventually a sweet girl went and bought coffee for me from simba center, brought it to me in a paper simba cup, and I paid for it of course.
It's not the 3k extra for coffee. It's the experience you sell. It's supposed to be high end, expensive, aesthetic. You don't tell the client to go to the ground floor to buy their own take away coffee.â

âThe place is absolutely stunning, incredible views and aesthetic. The stars of the show were the mimosa and the apple tiramisu dessert! Never tasted anything like it before and will be back for that! Unfortunately the jerk chicken did not taste like real jerk chicken which is my only criticism.â

â5/5 â A Hidden Gem Worth Every Moment!
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Le Youkounkoun 1965. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere wrapped me in warmth, elegance, and authenticity. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, the service was seamless, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated.
The food? Outstanding. Rich flavors, beautiful presentation, and that perfect blend of tradition and creativity that keeps you wanting more with every bite. The ambience makes it ideal for a relaxed evening, a date night, or even a quiet solo escape.
Le Youkounkoun 1965 is truly one of those places you remember long after you leave â a rare combination of charm, quality, and consistency. Canât wait to return!â

âI went for the 7 course menu on a weekday. All of the courses were solid to very good, though the problem is that in the tasting menu you essentially get four full mains, which is far to much food. Cocktail were very good and there is a large wine selection, as well as wine pairings. The view is absolutely breathtaking!
The service is impeccable. I believe in a few months of optimizing the tasting menu, this could be a real winner!â
