“Had a very unprofessional experience at Kipharma Nyarutarama. I went with a valid prescription and got 2 bottles of medication after full insurance approval. It was cleared in their system, done and dusted. But a few hours later, someone from the counter (not officially the pharmacy) personally called me asking me to return one bottle, saying my insurance had changed its decision. I never gave them my number. When I pushed back, they emailed me saying the issue was “sorted” and I could keep the product—no explanation. After contacting my insurance provider, they confirmed they never sent any follow-up like that. Someone at that pharmacy tried to reverse a legit, approved transaction or worse, reclaim a product they already got reimbursed for and then falsely used the insurance’s name. For such a well-known pharmacy in Rwanda, that was unacceptable and felt dishonest.”
