âAuthentic, Hearty, and Truly Local:
A Night at EyaMya ââââ đ§§
We visited the recently opened EyaMya last night, and if youâre looking for a "mom-and-pop" atmosphere that feels 100% genuine, this is the place. Itâs lively, unpretentious, and feels exactly like having dinner in someoneâs family home. đđ§§
The Atmosphere
The vibe is energeticâyes, there were kids playing and a bit of a roar, but it felt welcoming rather than distracting. Itâs the kind of place where you can relax and just enjoy the moment.
The Food: Clean & Comforting đ„ąđ
The menu focuses on simple, traditional Chineseđ„ą cooking.
* The Soups: The absolute star of the show. The leek soup in particular was incredibleâdeeply flavorful and a must-order.
* The Dumplings: These are very traditional. The steamed versions are quite subtle and mild (bland in a clean, healthy way), making them a great pairing for the richer soups.
* Menu Secret: Don't feel limited by the descriptions! Even though the dumplings are listed in soup, the kitchen is flexible enough to serve them steamed or fried upon request.
The Service
The service is exactly what a neighborhood spot needs: no-frills and efficient.
Expert Tip: Before you commit, ask to see the photo menu. Itâs a great visual guide for those less familiar with the dishes, but they don't always think to bring it out until the order is already placed!
If you want a meal that tastes "real" and skips the heavy oils and sauces of typical westernized Chinese food, give EyaMya a look. đ„ąđđ§§â

âReally great food! We tried the mixed dumplings, veg dumplings (not on menu but possible to request), scallion oil noodles, pressed tofu, kimchi/spicy cabbage, and the Chinese curry). For dessert we had two of the flower cakes that were absolutely delicious and such a treat- highly recommend!! The food came out quickly the service was very nice and the setup is very cute day or night, with two kids areas.â

âLove this place. The flower pastries are delightful. So delicate and pretty. Perfect with a specialty tea from one of the traditional tea sets. They also do wonderful dumplings with lots of flavour. Nice garden area with children's playground. Wonderful place to while away an afternoon.â
