“Very excited to find an authentic Chinese restaurant owned by a Chinese in Kigali. It’s hidden in a deep street, but with Google Maps I was able to guide the driver to get to it. As a lunch I tried some dumplings and fried lettuce. Tasted very good.”

“First time and i loved it! Real Chinese hospitality experience. They have private eating rooms and also open spaces. The food was amazing, took less than 30min.... Loads of Chinese tea on the house upon arrival..... we ordered pork, goat and fish dishes😜.......and the management offered dumplings on the house! Loved it.”

“This was my first time at Sawa Restaurant, and I was genuinely impressed! The food was absolutely delicious, and the prices were very reasonable. Compared to the French restaurant I visited a few days ago, Sawa offers much better quality and taste. Everything we ordered was flavorful and beautifully presented. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“This is a new Chinese restaurant situated near the Eden garden shop. The food was really tasty. Service was attentive, but the time between dishes was a bit too much.
However, the taste made up for this negative.
The crab is highly recommended. The pork ribs dish is also very good. The rice they used sticky rice, and it was nice.
They are still building more space. I guess it is going to be a welcome addition to the long list of Chinese restaurants in Kigali.
We have become a fan of their crab dishes. Their issue on bringing dishes at different times still exists, but we are used to it now.”

“The food is delicious and the variety of dishes makes it perfect for sharing. The portions are generous, and the owner is very friendly. The fried eggplant, in particular, is incredibly tasty. We seem to come here every time we have a gathering. If you want to try a range of different dishes, this is the place to eat.”
