“This is the funniest experience I’ve had at a salon: the woman who runs the place got angry because I asked them to wash hands before doing my hair and use a clean brush — see pic for one example of the type of dirty brush I was trying to avoid….the stylist had actually done both of those things and started drying my hair, but then the manager stopped him midway and kicked me out 😂😂 I’d chosen this place for convenience (it’s near my home) but ended up going to my former salon where they finished my hair; the short distance was worth it to avoid unsanitary equipment and bad service. Also there’s no lighting outside so I tripped in the ditch between the road and the wall and twisted my ankle, luckily one of the other (very kind) staff was there to help me. 0/10 would not recommend”

“I was alarmed to witness, via speakerphone, the unsatisfactory service a customer (Paula) received at this establishment in the evening of Monday, April 11th. Having heard some decent reviews about this salon (I'd in fact paid it a visit myself as it's not far from where I live and I wanted to know the products they use), I was looking forward to being a client. One referre had cautioned me that the stylists might need some direction/ coaching here & there but, in her experience, had generally been open to feedback (not a problem for me, then!). Unfortunately, that was not the case during the encounter in question. While I understand & appreciate the need to hold space for young businesses that are still ygrowing provided they are responsive to feedback, something as basic as *hygiene* should never be a point of contention. 1. All combs, brushes and styling implements must be cleaned between use by each & every single client. 2. Under no circumstances should stylists handle a client's hair without having washed their hands immediately prior to the service (and it should go without saying that any salon personnel who are not directly styling the client's hair need not touch or handle the client's hair at all, except at the client's explicit request). Limited experience with an open & positive mindset is one thing, but unprofessional service with a combative & defensive mindset is another issue altogether -- and one to be avoided at all costs. Furthermore, it's deeply concerning when a business extends differential standards of service depending, seemingly (?), on who the client is. I hope the team can reflect on this experience and do better going forward. Very disappointing.”

“You are very welcome at first. Then, along the process, service is messed up. Someone decides to hand you over to a beginner who does not know how to style your hair. That is, they turn you into a didactic material for their apprentices. And what you get is not what you wanted. But apologies of the manager and her decision not to charge you for the mess somehow make it up.”
