“It’s unfortunate that I have to leave a negative review about the food I ordered. What was served to me was different from what was described on the menu. I ordered a salad with chicken, but what arrived at my table was a fruit mix with chicken instead. I have included a picture of the food I received for reference. Regarding their coffee, I believe they need more professional training. As for the ambiance, it is very calm and creates a nice working environment—almost like being in a library. Additionally, it was difficult to find the place. It is located on the fifth floor of a building, but there is no sign or advertisement outside to indicate its presence. Overall, I do not recommend this place.”

“Amazing Coffee Spot with a Stunning View Shamba has moved to a new location, now on the rooftop (5th floor) with an elevator – and what a view! Located right next to the Convention Centre, it's the perfect place to enjoy a coffee with friends or get some work done on your laptop. Speaking of coffee – hands down the best in town. Patrick is a wonderful host and an incredibly knowledgeable barista. He offers a variety of specialty coffees and is always happy to share his expertise. Luckily, he now also sells his beans, so you can take the experience home. We had a delicious lunch – the chicken wrap was excellent, and for dessert, we treated ourselves to a chocolate croissant. My friend was absolutely thrilled with the passionfruit lemonade. If you love great coffee, a welcoming atmosphere, and an amazing city view, this is the place to be. Highly recommended!”

“Fantastic coffee, great views of the city, and plenty of space to work, read, or relax. Nobody in Kigali is doing it like Shamba! Highly recommend a visit to this haven on the roof. Positive vibes!”

“I love this place. Kigali has great cafes, but Shamba is definitely the one with the coziest rooftop, amazing view and host. Coffee and food is always excellent, just sometimes a little late. Still, the waiters and the owner are super friendly and always up for a talk.”
