The first part of the tour led us to a beautifully crafted traditional hut, surrounded by natural beauty. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it felt like stepping back in time to a simpler way of life. We saw handmade baskets and artifacts, which added authenticity to the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the local history and culture. The second part of our adventure included a unique honey-tasting session. The honey, served straight from the comb, was fresh and delicious. We gathered around a small wooden table, and it was a special moment to savor local flavors in the open air. The setting felt serene, with lush greenery all around, perfect for those who appreciate nature. “I had a great experience with Steven and Joshua. I decided to just spend a day at their campsite near Kigali. It was peaceful, beautiful, and both were very helpful and courteous. There are also a bunch of extra tours or activities you can do (brewing, coffee, tours, weaving etc) but Steven wasn’t pushy at all about anything, which I appreciated as some places can be pushy with tourists. I most enjoyed how genuinely excited he was to teach things about Rwandan culture, the nearby nature etc. I’d definitely recommend him whether you just want to do a short outing/hike etc or something more extensive, whether at his campsite or outside of the city.”
