“I’m a bit confused — I didn’t visit a Bicu Lounge on a seventh floor like others mentioned in their reviews. I saw a place called “Bicu Lounge” while walking through Kimihurura and heard live music from the street. So I went in and had a really good time. Tried two starters and had a couple of beers. Excellent live music! I’ll be back.”

“I went here last week, and it was raining; there weren't many patrons out there. Nonetheless, the food was delicious. I ordered the pasta dish with veggies. The drink was great; they did not hold back on the alcohol. lol”

“This place is a hidden gem in Kigali. On the 7th floor, the view from the comfy seats of Bicu is gorgeous! The ceilings are filled with hanging plants and warm lights. The staff are gorgeous and make you feel welcome. Seating arrangement is spacious enough. Let’s talk about the food. Good food is rare in Kigali restaurants. Great food is even rarer. Bicu has amazing food. Well spiced, juicy, and just the right portion to make you chill on some cocktails afterwards. They have splendid variety of cocktails that can get you lost in the menu. The price is moderately high but worth it. Take your friends and family there for a random night out. And oh, ask for Sonia (the manager) and you will meet an amiable human and also get some good inside tips on their programs. I’m officially a regular!”

“Located on the 7th floor of Hotel Isimbi , Bicu is a charming rooftop lounge in the heart of the city that really shines in terms of the view. You can see much of Kigali city from the large windows that surround you on all sides! The windows are closed when it rains but are left completely open during good weather, giving al fresco vibes to the the relaxed ambiance of the place.
The dining room, bar and restrooms were clean and well- maintained. So extra points there.
From the semi-open kitchen in the rear of the lounge, I could see the chef freshly preparing my food and it did not disappoint. My brochettes were a little overcooked but this is typical of local preferences.
I should have told them how I wanted my meat cooked ;)
Bicu had a catchy playlist coming from a good sound system and a large HD-TV which was tuned to the World Cup.
This was a nice touch as I enjoyed my meal.
Bicu also shines in terms of service. From the reception staff downstairs, to my server upstairs, everyone was very courteous and attentive to my requests and ensuring that I was satisfied at all times.
The menu offers quite an appetizing selection of in-house crafted cocktails, mocktails and teas but, alas, I found the price point to be high so I didn't try any.
Overall, very happy with my experience and would return. It was pricy but the view was A1.
Maybe I'll try a drink next time.”
